Walmart to start selling curtain curtains
Walmart is set to begin selling curtain-like curtains at its outdoor stores this summer, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The company has been quietly developing the curtains since the early 2000s, and the Wall St. Journal noted that the curtains are likely to be a boon for customers, as they will allow them to access the outdoors without having to leave their homes.
Customers will be able to order curtains from Walmart stores starting in mid-July, and retailers will be allowed to sell the curtains to customers in stores beginning on July 17.
The Wall St Journal noted, however, that curtain curtains will not be able go on sale at Walmart stores until the curtain company can finalize pricing and delivery timelines.
Walmart has been in talks with other retailers for years to build curtain-type products, but the company’s plans have been a source of frustration to customers.
Customer complaints about the lack of curtain-level functionality have continued to mount, with many customers complaining that curtain-clad windows are inaccessible to them and they simply cannot get close enough to see what they are looking at.
“I can’t open up the window.
I can’t get a close-up,” one customer told the Journal.
“I just want the curtain curtain.
That would be the best thing for the customer.
But I can never get close to it.”
