The cost of cleaning a carpet has soared in recent years as hotels and hostels have become more modern.

In the past decade, the cost of a one-year carpet cleaning has increased from £300 to £1,500.

But the cost is falling fast, as cleaners and cleaners-only facilities have emerged.
